Glad to see the LS460 doing well :eusa_clap :D

Thanks for all of the numbers Tine.

Re: US sales: November 2007: BMW, Audi, MB, VW, Porsche

That makes one of us...;) :D

Of course :t-rot: :D

That's because it has recently been launched. I'm pretty confident the sales will slip gradually

Most certaintly, it doesn't matter that the LS460 has higher sales this month because i highly doubt it has overall world sales (actually i know it doesn't) anywhere close to what the S-Class or 7er have achieved.:usa7uh:

Anyways, i'm still happy :D

Audi and Mercedes on first last month.

On the other hand. Part of the reason why the sales for the LS are higher than the S is due to the fact that it is cheaper...like a lot cheaper.

Re: US sales: November 2007: BMW, Audi, MB, VW, Porsche

Exactly. It starts in the mid 60's while the S starts at nearly 90K.

I'm right with you man, the LS deserves praise. Unlike the LS430 which was quite a bland product, I think the LS460 really puts itself neck-on-neck with its German counterparts.

I have no reason not to believe that the LS will be a US sales leader for the following months. :eusa_clap

I think it will do quite well for the next few months and i think: A. because it's obviously newer, B. it's cheaper and C. it's a good car :usa7uh:

I don't think people should count Lexus out as a serious contender (in the US anyways).. you've got admit it's a great effort by Lexus. The big three German executive saloons will always sell like crazy but i highly doubt Jaguar, Infiniti or Cadillac has ever beat the German's in sale figures (for a month) when it comes to the executive saloon category (unless i'm wrong, anybody correct me :usa7uh: )

Re: US sales: November 2007: BMW, Audi, MB, VW, Porsche

Those Lexus LS numbers are a little misleading. The sales numbers include both the deeply discounted LS430, and the LS460. Most of the sales in November were the 430's.

I did not know that, :usa7uh: I'll wait for next months figures for a better comparsion

No. 1,670 is a number of LS units sold in November 2005.

Lexus / Toyota haven't specified 430 & 460 sales numbers, but since LS460 was available already in October 2006 (in Oct 2,019 units of LS430/460 were sold - up 33 pct from Oct 2005), I'm sure almost most LS models sold in November 2006 are LS460 - since it was available through entire November + there are not many 430 on the lot anymore.

Do not forget LS is favorite US luxury sedan by far. And 3,613 units is a normal number. Expect even more to be sold monthly in the next months - even far over 4,000.

Americans love Lexus - especially ES, LS & RX.

Re: US sales: November 2007: BMW, Audi, MB, VW, Porsche

Lexus sold a total of 3613 LS's (LS 430 & LS 460) this November. Last November they sold 1670 LS's. This year through November they have sold 15681 LS's and last year through November they had sold 23723, so that is a 33.9% decrease in sales.

Ah i see it, of course, 3,613 LS' sold this November and 1,670 last November.

They certaintly do and i'm most certain North America in Lexus' strongest market. I know the RX is huge in North America and as a resident i can confirm it, they are everywhere.

Thanks for the explanation Tine
