U.S. Sales - November 2011

It seems Mercedes is back on top. I guess until BMW launches the 3er.

Since both cars will have Coupe variations now to bring the numbers up, as opposed to the 3 making it appear as if the Sedan is crushing the C Sedan, when in fact it's the also-very-popularly selling 3-Coupe AND 3-Sedan (2 cars) "competing" against 1 sole C Sedan

Well, that was MB's choice after they decided to move the CLK (which was included in C-class sales) to the E-class family. Remember that the next time you're comparing 5er and E-class sales. ;)
Most definitely the new C-coupe is helping sales...my aunt-in-law was a C Sedan owner, and just recently changed over to the C Coupe.

It should be very interesting to see 3er sales in a year's time because the 3er Coupe/Cab' will soon become the 4 series, thereby leaving the 3er family with the Sedan and maybe Wagon in the US market (or maybe the 3er GT eventually).

The CLK was never included in the C-Class sales, it stood as its own model line. People here used to group the CLK and C for the purpose of comparing those sales to the 3-Series, but Mercedes never officially did that.

I stand corrected. Thanks for that Marcus. :)

So I guess now we won't have an even comparison of the 3er Sedan vs C-class sedan, or C-Coupe/Cab vs 3er Coupe/Cab, or E-class Sedan/Wagon vs 5er Sedan/GT.
Also, once the new 6-wide S-class family rolls out, that'll make it even more difficult.

Damn that's gonna suck! :(
