5er looks gorgeous compared to the EQE. You don’t know how bad these EQ models look until they’re side to side with something else.
They should hire a new design team or something cause they just look horrible. Also the weird thing is that they were capable of doing the same thing as BMW did, such as making the gas and electric versions use the same body (e.g. EQA and EQB) but they decided to make the gas powered models look gorgeous while f*cking up the design of the EQ counterparts. Just doesn’t suit the Mercedes name, sorry.

iX & EQE SUV… Even the iX with it’s minivan-like proportions looks great compared to EQE SUV.
They could’ve just made an electric GLE. Look at how gorgeous it looks proportionally.

Thankfully the Neue Klasse concept and the teased SUV had nice proportions, let’s hope they obtain that.
Also, what happened to dalab? Why did he get banned?

BMWs strategy to hedge by using the same platform for EVs, hybrids and ice is paying off.

The i5 and i7 looks decent and are reasonably priced too. The weight and cabin space penalties are small against rivals like the EQE.

They are more palatable on the road, but I agree. They are a big design misstep. The SUV's are better than the saloons though.

The 5 would be an easy pick here IMO.

Yeah it's just sad that instead of being true to their principles, they are willing to give up on it just for a larger marketshare. A reason why Porsche is still loved by most enthusiasts, and BMW not so much.

BMW would need to milk the last drop from Alpina to create some few enthusiast cars to get what Porsche is as a brand, VAG collab makes here no difference.
