I thought it would be great to see what car you guys got your Drivers license in (if you have one
). Give me the short story behind it. Be as accurate as you can. Who tought you how to drive. (Your mom or dad?) did thay let you drive their cars and take the drivers-tests in them or did you buy the car yourself.
Here is my story. My mom and Dad believed in Volvo. We had about 5 of them altogether. My mom loved stick shift manuals and wanted me to learn in her
Volvo 760 Turbo Diesel. I drove it for a little bit but I found the stick to be a distraction. I decided I didn`t want to learn in that car. She later bought a 1991 Volve 940 Turbo, (an automatic) which she didn`t like too much. About a year later in addition she bought a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300Dt wagon. I thought that was really a nice car at the time but I didn`t get my license in her cars. Instead I bought my own 85` 300DT sedan. This was my first car and I payed cash for it. When I got behind the wheel I felt like this is mine!
wow, I couldn`t believe the comfort of this car and the freedom of getting behind the wheel, A Mercedes-Benz! I did a lot of stupid things with this car though and finally wrecked it on a water patch racing a pickup truck, I felt so sad. I owned this car for about a 4-6 monther and fully tought myself the in and out of driving but I didn`t get my license in the 300TD . Here is a photo of the 300TD sedan I owned.
After I totalled my 300 I thought I`d step up, I got an S-Class! the 1987 V8 powered 420SEL This is the car I got my Drivers License in, When I drove up to take the test the sheriff said, A Mercedes??!!
I took the test and passed with flying colors. This isn`t my car though.
It was gold with tan leather interior, ABS brakes and sunroof. Again I payed full cash for this car.

) - really powerful car at lower revs

Because I wasn't very familiar with this car I was a bit nervous in the test and as a result accidentally turned off the engine in the first traffic lights.
