I have been thinking about your new M5 a bit, and I have come to the conclusion that having a manual M5 does have some serious potential for the fun factor. It may be a bit slower than the SMG, but could be more fun

We got a 2007 M5 sedan and it's SMG, I'm not a big fan of the SMG.
My dream car is the McLaren F1 - BMW engine, manual gearbox...

What's extremely painful is that the engine must be cuddled until 5,000 km!

So thus far, all test drives have been relatively "docile".

Amazing machine that is... That V10 is totally epic.

It's probably one of the very best cars BMW ever released and will surely be remembered as the epitome of the M5 history.

That screaming beast will stay on history books as the second best engine ever by BMW (after the V12 of the McLaren F1, and ahead of the I6 of the e36/e46 M3), what is to say one of the very best ever in a non-exotic car...

This is one of the two recent Beemers I would kill for (the other beeing the Z4M Coupe).

Enjoy it but stay reasonable nonetheless!
