X5 [Spyshots] Next generation BMW X5 (3rd gen) 2015?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Xenon's are standard on the E70 ( at least in Ireland and the UK ) ??

It's a simple, reasonable suggestion Klier. Somebody casually browsing, and knowing your fondess of all things BMW, might think you are posting FACTUAL information. Saying WILL implies you either know something or it's been publicly announced by BMW.

Very well, I agree with this. It sounded too much as a fact and I really don't know this for sure.

Best look to date at the LED headlights on the F15 X5. All the mules I've seen have LED's. Thanks. PalBay

May I ask what is this? I mean, there is alu+good? two different trim insertions ala Audi A8?

Betty is right, those are Xenons. I don't think LED will be standard. Only on high end like the X5 M (they're already standard on the X5 M in my region).

my guess is that F15 will have xenon and probably halogen headlights, because of headlights aiming corrector, look at the last interior picture. Headlights control unit: the first right wheel. If I'm not mistaken full-LED lights do not combine with manual corrector.

Neither do xenons.

In worst case the X5 F15 will get full-LED at facelift, like it is the has been the case of many models. But I think it might still be like 6 Series F1X, unless they decide to release full-LED for the X5 F15 only after the X6 F16, like it will very highly be the case for the 5 Series F1X

Because of their status as the flagship (for now) BMW SAV.
Both the F15 and F16 BMW X5 and BMW X6 will offer optional adaptive LED headlights.
The BMW 5er LCi will also offer Adaptive LEDs as an option.

Don't post things as if they're fact. Quite simple really.

When commenting on something which is purely subjective, like the looks of a car, then I don't think people need to write "IMHO" after every sentance. This is different, however.

As it happens I don't disagree with your opinion. I think it's a distinct possibility that Xenons will be standard on the new X5. But the key word is "possibility".

The current X5(in the US) has Xenons standard. I'm sure that won't change come the next gen.

The current gen X5 looks pretty darn good, even 7 years later. I'm hoping the next gen does too.

What BMW choose to offer as standard in a particular market has nothing to do with what the car will have as standard in its base form.

How do we know whats standard in the base form?

The diplomatic price list is usually in base form. Often the German market cars are pretty low spec too. For example, in Germany, the E92 M3 didn't have leather as standard nor did it have sat nav as standard, yet in many markets it did have those two items as standard. That's just an example.

So, just because the X5 has xenon as standard in the U.S., that's just because BMW USA have chosen to make xenons standard on all US spec models.

Indeed^ for example in South-Africa every standard or option or package on BMW's has a codename e.g. SA01 for Adaptove Xenon Headlights. Every country/market choose their own spec sheet as per se, that works best for their respective market and customers - based upon market research and requirments.
