^ I sort of agree. The grille is in the wrong spot. It starts too low. That, and the side view is taken directly from the E63 6er.

The artist involved seems to have a severe bout of CSConceptitis a very contagious illness found within sections of the automotive media .

The only cure available is ignorance and ridicule.

It was certainly a surprise for our spy photographers to come across a new generation BMW 6 Series prototype - even more so considering it was the cabriolet version, with the coupe yet to be seen.
As these image show, the 6 Series Cabriolet will continue to be offered with a canvas roof rather than a retractable hard top, most likely to preserve luggage space so as to remain a somewhat practical luxury convertible.

The overall shape of the 6 Series will remain relatively identical, although each panel has been subtly refined to makeover the look of the car.

The new BMW 6 Series range will again be available as the 630, 650 and 635d models with a flagship M6 variant to follow shortly after.

It really looks like the proportions are the same as on the current model. Nut please tell me the car won´t have that E89 Z4 inspired front lights, please.

BMW´s upcoming 2011 6-Series convertible has once again been spotted undergoing winter testing in northern Scandinavia.

Although the car is heavily disguised, we can clearly see that the new 6-Series will borrow several styling cues from recent BMW models such as the 7-Series, the new Z4 Roadster, and the highly praised CS Concept. Up front, the new 6-series adopts a more traditional BMW appearance with a wider grille, reshaped headlights, and a more aggressive front bumper. At the rear, the stylized taillights appear to remain intact while the highly controversial "Bangle Butt" seems to have been minimized if not removed completely. As the pictures show, the "fabric" roof fits rather poorly which seems to suggest that the new convertible will ditch the current twin flying buttress soft-top in favor of a new folding metal roof.

Power options will most likely carry over from the current 6-Series, but the 360 hp 4.8-liter V8 engine will be replaced by the new 400 hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 from the recently introduced BMW 750i. So far it's unclear whether or not the M6 will continue to be powered by the current model's V10 engine, with 500 hp and 383 ft-lbs of torque, or if will it have to make do with a slightly retuned version of the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8.

I think we can see a few front lights details on the latest pics.

I won't lie, I'm actually looking forward to this car. Over the years I've really come to like the 6er. It's really different than more cars on the road, in a good way. I hope BMW can continue that.

That shape is looking nervous and I can already smell the ugliness from the current one being transferred to the new model.

I'm really worried too,the current is fugly since day one IMO and i really hope the new one would mimic the CS extensively:usa7uh:

BMW would have sold lot more of the current 6-series if it would have been less bulbous and bloated looking.
The caradvice CGI seems to have lost bloatiness and looks good.

Btw, What did EnI or Scott tell us about the front and rear lights? F01 inspired or Z4?.

May be, but I call it the way I see it. You can hardly make out anything through that psychedelic camo and he can already 'smell' that it is 'nervous', whatever the f that means. If that is not trolling, not sure what is.

Nah man, I'm not saying don't call it like it is, by all means express your opinion. I was just saying that it was harsh...I didn't wanna use other memes like PWNED or something. LOL

lol, wish I had as a big heart as you. But on a more serious note, it is more about the quality of this forum than anything personal. There is nothing wrong with putting the other side down. I do my part :D. It keeps things interesting and the conversation going, but it should have some basis on reality like a real test or a new design is revealed, not freaking I can 'smell nervousness' bs. And it is not like BMW is going to stop making odd looking cars that he can get off on.

I understand you completely my friend, and I do agree as well.
