M6 [Spyshots] BMW M6 Gran Coupe (Spy pics, Info & Impressions)

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M
She will sure steal sales from her sister M5. Imo, even for a convinced & motivated M5 buyer, this thing can really be a threatening deal-breaker! Love it.

I bet the price tag will set them apart.

BTW I don't like how the rear wheel is sitting inside the arch.

Yea, it sucks how BMW stands for RWD, but refuses to give the cars flared fenders in the rear - except for 1M. Even AWD Audi RS cars put the RWD M cars to shame in this aspect.

I think the rear archs are so empty because it has the front rim/tire size at the back. It is nice the car is coming out earlier than expected. Eventhough the A7 is already out for some time, the M6 GC could come before at least in the same time as the RS7.

It just oozes sexy!

They definitely gotta run with the "I'm sexy and I know it" song by LMFAO for any TV/online-video adverts.

Sadly if comes with no space for a spare I won't be getting it. I do like the car and think it is a better proposition than the CLS or A7.

Say what Sunny ? ... It may have camo on it, but it sure does look like both the front AND rear wheel arches are flares on that red M6 GC above.

They may not be Audi's "DTM-inspired" flared wheel arches...but it does look like at least the M6 GC has a little more flare there. :)

I know it is flared a bit, but...

I like big hips and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a car rolls in with an itty bitty waist
And a flared thing in your face
You get sprung...

:D

Classic, baby got back :D

I am absolutely with you here, I love hips and I love that feature about Porsche's.

Hahahahaha.... that was damn hilarious!! I totally walked into that one. :D

Yeah, after seeing the 1M, I can't deny it either. Hot hips!!

Looks like Valencia Orange to me too.

BTW, guys, is the Gran Coupe going to have a CF roof like the coupe?? The whole roof is completely taped off....

Looks like Valenica Orange, difficult to say. I thought Sakhir Orange was exclusive to the interior.
Sakhir Orange metallic is in the BMW dealers vehicle paint database with color code of B50. I have Valencia orange BMW in my garage and this looks too red for Valencia. It may be like Imola red where BMW had a exterior and interior color. Maybe SCOTT can confirm. ;)

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
