GLE [Spyshots] 2015 Mercedes GLE Facelift (formerly M-Class) (X166)

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.
Then what was AMG boss saying about wait till New York show? I still think Merc has something surprising for NY show:)

Agreed. Maybe a new AMG BiTurbo powers the M-Class Coupe concept? Just a guess. :)

When asked whether we’ll see the M156’s replacement soon, he said, “Wait for New York.” They haven’t publicly given the engine a designation yet, but he did that say that the output will not exceed the M157 (5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8), at least not initially. You can assume the car in New York will be the C63 AMG replacement. However, Tobias also indicated that we’ll see the debut of the new sports car, rumored to be named the GT AMG. This car will feature the new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8. The new sports car will cost less than the Gullwing, and that gives the car, “More opportunities,” meaning that you can expect a whole portfolio of variants very similar to the Porsche 911. We can also expect to see the S63 Coupe (and maybe S65 Coupe and S600 Coupe) at the New York show.

REally wish there was some cohesion with the taillamps on the GL, ML and GLK. I hate them on the ML. They don't intergrate well at all.

The graphics of the taillights will be new, but highly doubtful the shape will be because they would have to at least change the rear quarter panel, which would cost a lot of money.

Mercedes just can't do tail lamps, it seems. The C-Class taillamps seem too small, and the ones on the ML are just ugly. :(

I would agree the ML rear lighting design is atrocious. But the new S-Class is exquisite and the new C is great.

On the S class - the new rear taillights look great! On the C Class, they look too small. Now, cars always look different when you see them up close and personal, and that didn't stop me from putting a deposit down for a allocation spot for a W205 C63 AMG 'S'. The ML's lights look like the designers were celebrating after they finished the design of the car and in the middle of that party, one of the designers was reminded they forgot the taillights.

At least Mercs quality is back. That's one step in the right direction.

ML 63 AMG. :)
