You. The Road. Nothing else.
i think it is too much of a good thing looking at the exterior, which can be a very dangerous mistake, from what i see, there is a dangerous resemblence with the S-class, i.e. the headlamps are ditto exactly the same, the contours and sculpturing is very similar, like the S, where there is the dropping line accomponied by the pronounced 'shoulders' above the rear wheel arches, and the way the c-pillar ever so smoothly tapers down towards the boot, these features imo are way too high class for the C, they should be preserved to maximum effect for the S only to maintain its exclusivity as the flagship.
I can see the concept of the mini S, but it should be done in cleverly disguised manner like all the C generations before, for example the W203 is a perfect example of a mini S, where it borrows some major styling elemnts, but there is a certain toning down to them to bring them design features down to the level of the C, which is the way it should be, the 205 however is just the same as the S and seems like no imagination gone into it's design, just a copy and paste situation, all i can say is the S is in serious trouble to lose its flagship status in terms of design, because the way the 205 is turning out, it seems the 205 will be 90% the same as the S and therefore leaving the S nothing special in terms of design.
the interior however seems more promising though a bit weird looking centre console, but very high class features like the climate control, command controller again from S-class.
BMW has been criticized for the same F01 vs F10. Though IMO as with previous gen C's that resembled the S-class and the W222 being a iconic car or a car to aspire to, the "baby S-class" theme will boost sales. Those who aspire to or just adore the W222 but can not dream to afford it may/can probably get themselves behind the wheel of a W205. Whereas the F01 and F10's share that resemblance (especially the interior) the E-class was and always will be a standalone unique car in it's respective class. Thus the C-class plays the role of aspiration and thus also brings with it numbers in sales/units to the table. In short I would expect nothing less from a W205 if I was in the market for one. I expect my C-class to be just that: a Baby S-class.
