Just imagine what they're doing to do for the next E-Class!

Does S class have touchpad?
Not yet. The next year model will come with 9G-Tronic and new Command.
Just to remind you, this is what MB offered back when the W204 debuted, compared to the E90 3er and the B7 A4:

The W204 interior was a shame for MB, an interior that every designer currently at MB should be ashamed about.
Now compare the W205 interior with its competitors on the market:

And I won´t put pics of the 2009 E-Class because I don´t want to be cruel, but compare it to the F10 5er or current A6 interiors.
I´m glad MB has finally up the game and return to its natural place as top german manufacturer interior.
Well, they kinda have the A, B and CLA for that.... All good cars, just catering to a different market.I think more than anything Mercedes has realized that they don't have to pander to people who pinch pennies like they did during Shremp era. Secondly they realize that more than BMW or Audi, a Benz has to be reliable and function as intended every time. It has to be of shimmering quality and superior reliability again. Along with safety and all of their other traditional values. Make the best car possible within a sizeable budget, not a shoe string budget, and the sales will come. People will pay through the nose for the right car. No need to cheap out anymore. Make the C-Class the best in the segment, give C-Class buyers a true dose of Mercedes-Benz luxury. That is what they appear to be doing. This will be totally realized once the E-Class is brough back up to form for 2016-2017. No more excuses. I expect this car to launch with all the latest tech and for it to work as advertised. 9G, touchpad, HUD, things the 2015 S-Class will also inherit.
