X5 [Spy Shots] Next Gen BMW X5 (G65) and iX5 - coming in 2027?

I like the X5 even more than the new iX3. Honestly thought it would be the opposite going by the spy shots, but this new X5 truly is

It's probably the longer wheelbase giving it just a better stance and better proportions. And without door handles it looks almost concept-ish. Another aspect I was expecting to hate but in the end simply love.
And I can't wait to properly see the front with those yellow double X DTRLs, that's the one secret left.

Only thing I like better on the iX3 is the rear light graphics. Not the shape, just the graphics.

Sadly, my bet is this time the X6 will be a carbon copy of the X5 in all aspects but the roof.

Absolutely, iX4 prototypes were spotted just a few months after the iX3's launch. BMW typically begins testing the coupe version a few months after introducing the standard body model.

I don't know if I'm crazy or what, but I seem to remember that the X5 M and the X6 M were presented together on the same day

No, you haven't lost your mind. What you're saying is correct. But the X5 was introduced in the summer of 2018, and the X6 in the summer of 2019. The X5 and X6 M were introduced together at the end of 2019. But there was a year between the launch dates of the X5 and X6. So the G66 X6 will be introduced in 2027.
