X5 [Spy Shots] Next Gen BMW X5 (G65) and iX5 - coming in 2027?

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

While each model has its own individual styling traits, it is fair to say that the NK high-riding models will be fairly similar one to the other. There is a certain risk of overlapping, which could be mitigated through model-specific details, such as the X-shaped DRLs, different inner graphics on the grille and the more upright kidney on the G65, giving it a monolithic, flatter, more sober appearance, in comparison to the rounded, softer front fascia of the NA5.

As reported yesterday following the press statement regarding the new wheels for the i3, the updated ///M logo appearing on the lower side of the front doors will indeed carry the white outer lining encasing the letter and colours. And given the AI-cleared up photo, it seems the ///M mirrors are officially gone (no wing visible on the new mirrors vs. current design).

Are there any more models looking like this? Next 5er should have a different design. Only the next 4er could be added to the list. And we don’t even know if it’s coming.

The ground clearance went up in the technical leaks. Wonder if we'll get to see 23-inch rims like on the X7? I'm really curious. In these shots the wheels appear larger than the regular 22-inch ones from the inside.

The X5 looks great, although I would’ve wished for a different front end treatment. I hope I can get on board with the interior.

I do enjoy the BMW diehards having to adjust to these vehicles looking so similar, just because that was such a “bad” thing before depending on the brand :P
