You know they just pushed back the EQC here in the US probably because it was totally uncompetitive. I think I would rather Mercedes do bespoke electric vehicles, and be late to the party vs pushing out all these mediocre, warmed over versions of existing production cars.

what is this?

German AutoBild´s idea of a sub 20000€ car below the regular A-Class. Name of it was A-Class City.

One of their purpose is to lower Daimler´s EU CO2 fleet, since they emit 0 g/km O=C=O.

What we heard is that the factory cannot possibly meet production numbers. Is the MB really that far off the market? Not based on what I've seen. MB tends to go extra conservative of estimates. Hell, our parts department was consistently getting 90 miles on a smart EQ and it wasn't rated anywhere near that.

I don't actually think that's the reason. It's competitive enough with its euro peers; it was already obvious they weren't getting Tesla range out the EQC. Mercedes is in a serious situation with their fleet emissions standards. They need as many EQCs on the ground in Europe as possible.

Good point

I didn't think about that, but that is most likely the main reason. They have just traditionally paid the fine here in the U.S. and kept it moving.

Anyone know what kind of Range we looking at on this EQA and pricing wise where will it be?

^ About 400 km with the 60 kWh battery and may just take 20 minutes to recharge to 70% when quick charging. Pricing info is not available yet, though. Recently MB showed the Concept EQA again at Retro Classics although the EQA production version is based on the GLA instead. :)

I had forgotten about this one, a pity I don't think it was manufactured, (at least in 2 doors as seen here), it is a conceptual mix of the last Sirocco and Civic Si from 1992 that makes it irresistible, a top hatch
