I much prefer this:

A wide stanced visual is promoted on an automobile that can look a bit too narrow in basic trims.

Fun fact: GM's Pontiac division presented something similar as of their MY 1961 models.

It looks better without the grille. But I am glad they aren't making an NK car of this because that's quite frankly impossible with its basic proportions.

Better to start off fresh with a real NK car next gen.

Characterful vs Tesla-like meek, inoffensive, forgettable and disposable. The smooth front fascia NK sedan design paradigm will better suit the 3er that's further down the food chain, but it just looks too gentle and unremarkable on the current generation 5er.
