I assume Scott is talking about the 2 extra buttons next to the Park button below the gear stick? Also my F10 530d has a new kind of gear stick which looks a lot better how come the 7 is not getting that yet?

Those two buttons are for the two different cameras you can choose from.

What new gear lever in the 5 and 6 Series?

Doubt it as you can still see the silver permanent instrument bezel beyond the cover.

That's the sports transmission and you get that when you spec it in the options list. Looks like iy's not available on the 7 Series at the moment.

Thanks a lot betty, now I understand why my friends who have the 520d/525d F10 have the older gear stick, but I must say the new stick is really funky and a lot better design. They need to make this standard across the range atleast in th 7.

Coming back to the 7, I think the Instrument panel is full LCD but with the physical rings for better detail? And SCOTT do tell me if the airbags is what you were referring to as a major update?

I do not know how many times I have driven out of that entrance and being stopped by the Poliezi. Was I naughty behind the wheel? No it is mainly intrigue ,interest and fascination.

It seems that only the front gets a few noticiable changes, cause the interior seems to be the same with the excepction of the 6er like nav screen, the rear has just a change on the rearlights graphics.

After having seen the LCI X6 new kidneys, the F01 LCI will surely feature the same.

Yes in spite of the options the grille also gets a thicker outline of chrome and chiseled bars like the 6er , 5er etc...
The lower intake is shaped like the Active Hybrid Concept car from 2008 and incorporates LED fog lights. Full LED headlight as like the X6 and 6er will be optional as will the Bang and Olufsen Entertainment system. And there will be new colors for interior and exterior and new wheel options. The M-Sport will also get a slight refresh making it more interesting. Engine updates will also include the M750d and the eight-speed transmission will be a first for the new 7er.

8 speed is already available on the 7er, not exactly a first as the 760i already has it if my memory serves me well...

Full LED headlights, new bumpers, new engines (gasoline V8 Valvetronic and diesel I6 'tri-turbo'), 8-speed on all models, B&O sound.....this facelift will be full of pure WIN.

You can already get the chrome delete option on the current M-Sport.
