0-100, really? In this class the only thing, in that respect, that should matter is 100-300.

Oh dear.... how do such folks get to the level of being able to purchase a fully-loaded 7er. [HASHTAG]#befuddled[/HASHTAG]!

So I am not the only one who was thinking that when I was reading that.

But in his defense, I personally experience brain-farts where I just can't remember at all how to spell a word. In my mind, it looks like one of those declassified government documents that has select words redacted. But that happens when I've been up for more than 48 hours straight.

Ooohh, more details plz!!!
I fear I don't have further details :( .... just passed it. What I can say is no news to you: great silhouette, great stance, great details, looks very expensive. To me still has the 'wanna-have-it' factor.
This is what confuses me lately: BMW starts building cars that I like from the very start, even in pics. Hope they will also age well like back in the days.

Yeah, I liked the X1 from the beginning even when it usually takes some time to get used to the new looks. Hope it's the same for the G11, and it probably will be.

What's your opinion of the rear end? From what I've read on other forums (Guys, this one of those rare times I've strayed from GCF...i feel a little dirty) is that the rear end is rather uninspired.

Remarkable to say the least.

Yes the Lightweight measures really help but it makes you think as well as the next generation 5er also features the "Carbon Core" how quick do you think the next M5 will be?

The new 750i/750Li is still powered by BMW's award winning twin-turbo N63 V8 engine, with “BMW TwinPower Turbo as standard. The redline is at 7,000 RPM;
Which gives the 750Li xDrive a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds.

The real question is how light will the next M5 be? Will BMW finally make an M car that is lighter than the base model?

Imo, the picture of the dark M sport G11 we saw recently (around page 145) is the best to get an impression of the backside. Even though heavily disguised, you can see how smooth the roofline flows into the trunk. Also you can well guess the outline of the backlights. What is difficult to see is the 3D structure of the backlights which makes for a rather sophisticated look, imo.
I find the back very good and an appropriate step forward. Rather slim lights and a sleeker overall appearance than the F01.

Are there any details on the power and torque outputs? Will they be the same as the F01 750i/L? A 0-60 time of 4.3sec would be indicative of a 4.5sec time to 100km/h, which is 0.3sec faster than the F01 model, so is pretty impressive to say the least. Although the Audi A8 4.2 also does 4.5sec to 100km/h and the Mercedes S500 is slowest at 4.8sec (with 7G-tronic). This time would make it as fast as the E60 BMW M5, although I reckon that M5 will be faster above 140km/h.

The visual aspects of the 7er exterior highlight the change in dynamic form for the forthcoming G series models. If we take the 7er, the height of the new 7er is lower than the current F01 generation therefore it has a very sleek and dynamic outline that is very prominent. The slight stretch to the wheelbase allowed designers to lower and dynamically introduce a more sleeker outline that fulfills its purpose with the typical long bonnet and shorter rear deck allowing the car to be sleeker and lower than previous generation models ie E65 and F01.

The return to dynamic ness is welcomed into the interior also. Not only is the dash driver orientated but everything showcases best in class ergonomics with all controls reachable for the driver without taking their eyes off the road. A feature of all new G Series will be the driving position in which you sit much lower than before. This will also be true on the next 5er and 3er as the new G cars return to driver orientated features that make a BMW a BMW.

If you look at the next generation China only 5er Li it can be mistaken at first glance for a 7er.

Premiere, live on june 10, at 18.50 - 19.20 CET.
