I remember seeing first pics of the Aventador, that was a big wow in that time. Aggressive lines, stealth figher style, yet clean and beautiful (very first Aventador). With this car I have mixed feelings. But sure will be a blast to drive.

Are you talking about the pre production prototype disguised ones? Or the ones when they were officially launched later in the press? Because the comparison has to be if your doing one, apples to apples.

Exactly my point. Because Lamborghini are showing us what they want to. Anything and everything can change.

The problem with Lamborghini is that they have made so many Aventador based special editions, there is no more surprises, or progress with their design language.

This Aventador replacement looks just like the numerous spin off designs. Predictable and familiar.

Same can be said of the Porsche 911, not necessarily individually me but I hear it about McLaren too. You can't expect brand new powertrains for every variant or completely new bodywork. Not happening.

But I do agree a little they strung it some. But they always have I guess.

It is better resolved than I thought, and there is a distinct "sculptural" identity to the design that is unique to the model and well executed––though that is not the right word, and I will have to articulate a more precise concept to capture the aesthetic idea. All the same, and as pointed out, it's also blasé if not boring. The side profile, which to me is the lambo range topper's most important design angle, is especially bland and characterless. Overall, this thing has as much zest in its design as the Urus does (which isn't much).
