X5 [Spy Shots] 2022 BMW X5 Facelift

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

So are these red DRL's the rumored "M Lights?"

Yup, it's also the definition of "trying too hard." Absolute silliness.
Exactly, always consider the "aspirational tuning boys" who do this particularly in motorcycles and cars, less than subnormal (they abound around here), and they complement it wonderfully with white lights in the back, so as not to be "half" idiots.

Whoa, completely new headlights was unexpected. The differences with the X3 will be slightly bigger now, because the front of the FL X3 had become a mini X5.

Glad they kept the rear lights. Those got most criticism when this X5 was launched, but I love 'em.

I still don't love the rear lights honestly. Love the X5 overall though. It captures so much of what I liked about the E53 and E70.

The LCI of the current X5 is a very hard task in my eyes, as the current car looks fantastic. It embodies everything i expect of an X5. Not sure the slimmer headlights will be good for the overall design.

Hmmm. Just more squinty headlights. Not an improvement, not a downgrade. Just makes the front end look softer.

If above pic is close to real deal, i'd say the front will look more aggressive than the current one and i like that.

Speaking of aggression. The render doesn't have fog lights, and neither does the similar looking LC X3 bumper. Are fog lights no longer needed?

What do you mean with "needed"? In terms of legislative requirements? If so -> No.
E.g. BMW M cars dropped front fog lights since the E46 M3.
Rear fog light however is mandatory.
