That profile is gorgeous if it's realistic.
Looking at the spy shots it's clearly not remotely realistic.
What about this one?![]()
Why do all the 2er renders have Active Tourer Concept front ends? Surely it's going to look more similar to the F20/F21?
Yes first it was CSitis , then VEDitis , Connecteddriveitis , F30itis and now we have ActiveTouritis.Looks sick! Do want!!!
Lets hope not, heh
Btw, they (those artists) always put the front of the latest BMW on all future models...it's nothing new..
BAD NEWS!
From CAR, April 2013 issue :
BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer personally sealed the fate of the on-off BMW Z2 roadster , BY DECIDING TO LOCK THE NEXT GEN 2-SERIES RANGE ONTO THE NEW FWD/AWD MATRIX, along with all future 1-series models.
This means the 2-series is FWD.
The next generation modular chassis system that begins with the G series is designed to be accommodated from the 2er upwards , the investment is already made and the matrix has already been developed. The next 1er and sub 1er models are incorporated into the UKL programme. As mentioned before Z2 becomes Z1 , Z2 becomes Z3 and so on. I have not heard anything about the 2er being locked in to UKL as far as I believe there is the strong desire to keep 2er RWD because of the advantage it has especially with cars like the CLA and Audi A3 Sedan as when the Gran Coupe variant of the 2er is launched , BMW hope that it makes an impact in that segment.LOL, April fool so late?
Who wants a FWD M2? What is BMW's Cayman rival then? I don't believe. That is BS.
Don't worry. The 2er Coupe isn't looking as much "sedanish" as 1er Coupe does. And consequently 2er GC doesn't either.
yea but going by the looks of the F20 which the 2er is more closely related to, is quite worrying. That was the cool part of the 1er coupe actually.
Going from E87 to F20 they completely messed up design wise. Really hope that won't be the case for the 2er. But going by the looks of the F32, I am not exactly worried...
