M3/M4 [Spy Shots] 2014 BMW M3 (Impressions, SpyPhotos, Renderings)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
You have Xenon lights, not LED. Just sayin. And your blinkers are ordinary bulbs. You're completely missing the point with those pics.

And yeah, we all know the corona rings are LED. Which they are on every single BMW...

The M3 still has the "yellow" corona rings in which case they're not LED. Only the white corona rings are LED.

LEDs do add a touch of elegance to any car design this is a given but it's their lighting ability that should always take priority. Personally I'd never pay through the nose for them just because they look pretty I'd get them because they light the road ahead better.

This LED fixation reminds me of these cars.com videos for used GT3s where the clueless chick goes on to tell you the reasons to buy a GT3 include "keyless entry, power windows, power door locks, leather seats...".

Blame the customers, that is what they want. Even the manual disapears from the new GT3 and M3 drivers need head-up display and heated seats to warm their b*tt.

310 kw = 415 hp according BMW VIN.

Doesnt say if its the final power or not but the prototypes seem to have 310 kw.

^I sincerely hope their predictions are more accurate with the M3 than they were with the (cough, cough 'Twin Turbo') RS5.

There's nothing wrong with this figure as long as weight drops enough the give it more PTW than the outgoing M3 especially with it's considerable jump in torque, I hope I'm wrong but the drop of 250lbs (120kgs) weight sound a bit optimistic.

Even if it only looks 90% like that, it will be an absolute winner.

OT: That magazine article is just horribly written. 7 secrets BMW don't want you to know: it's the Daniel Craig of sports saloons. Wtf? Does that even make sense? Sometimes I really wonder who's at the head of these things..

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
