The Lexus front is 100% horrible. I got to see it yesterday at the DC Auto Show. The interior on the other hand is magnificent.

I couldn't agree more. I saw it at the Washington Auto Show as well and was not impressed. I was especially interested about the interior, but that fell short of the Germans as well.
Switching between GS and E class, A6, and 5 series makes you notice the difference in quality still. It's true that the Japanese are catching up, but you can't deny that they are still not up to par.

Well if you're going to compare...then best to compare apples to apples.

Here's the new GS F Sport. :)

GS Sport looks like aftermarket kit with parts from both japanese and chinese tuning companies.

You're either a fan of Lexus styling or you aren't and by the looks of the poll there aren't any fan to be found here.

Hahaha, so true.

The thing in japanese cars interior's is how they finish the wood: always end up looking like plastic. It's obvious japanese car companies don't know how to make the wood look natural and organic.

Regards!

I can`t say I like that interior of the new GS either. All I see is acres of unfinnished design work.:eusa_doh:

The Merc is my first choice in the Mid-sized luxury car line up. (The E and GS are really the best rated cars... The 5er has too many bugs.)
The previous GS was not a bad looking car imo. Lexus really took a step backward with the newer design.

IMO kind of looks like an M3, especially the design of that front bumper. The side and rear enhancements looks very nice and normal....so not sure I see the aftermarket kit you're seeing. ...or are you referring to that big round thing positioned between the headlights ? ;)

The GS-F interior kinda resembles the one of the LF-A but in a more luxurious way.
The slim air vents are there and they are one of my favorite parts of the LF-A interior.
I was considering the GS-F as an replacement for my 5er but now I see how bland it looks compared to the 5 M-pack and I'm not sure if even the F-pack will help it...

Okey, I was exaggerate a little in my description but it doenst change the fact that I dont like it, too messy exterior. Dont get me wrong I have owned 5 japanese cars and I like Lexus IS and Im a huge fan of LF-A but GS, german badge or not, the car doesnt look good.

The A6 does look a very clean design which isn't the norm any more. Long term I think it will stand the test of time better than any of the rest.

Damn EKaru! The A6 has such an understated air of sophistication rivals simply fail to match.
A silver (actually white) lining among these pedestrian friendly/stayed too long in front of the fire place designs.

EKaru, those are perhaps the best shots of the A6 I have EVER seen. Bravo.

What's most surprising however, is that the GS manages to hold its own in the frontal shots with the 5er! Yes, the F10 is still much better, but the Lexus doesn't look useless next to it either.

I think the A6 is a better design than the GS, but I find it to be uninspiring to my senses as well, however, respect the clean and simple nature of it, aside from the funky front. What bothers me most is how "Grandpa" and non-dynamic that greenhouse shape looks, reminds me of a Ford 500 (old Ford Taurus).

However, like I've said before, you gotta catch it at the right angles and lightings to really be taken back by the purity and bauhaus design, and that first slanted pic of the white one does just that!

The F10 and A6 battle it out for #2 to me in this tough segment. I know I'd buy a 5er before an A6 just because I know and have a slant toward the BMW brand more than Audi, but I feel that the Audi does have a crisp and lightfooted look that is refreshing sometimes next to the more bulbous and chunky F10. I still would say the F10 all in all looks better and more my speed. Though, I might pick an S6 over any volume 5er.
