4 Series (G22) [Rumors] BMW i4 and 4 Series Gran Coupé

The second generation of the BMW 4 Series consists of the G22 (coupé version), G23 (convertible version), and G26 (5-door liftback version, marketed as the Gran Coupé) compact executive cars. The G22 4 Series was launched in June 2020 for the 2021 model year and succeeds the F32 4 Series. Production: 2020–
Doesn't surprise me. Like I said in the BMW media announcement thread, this new model merges the previous generation GT and GC models as something in between the two. It's a Gran Coupé with PMS - puffy mid section. The age of the ugly BMW is upon us once more.

As long as BMW Personal Assistant doesn't ask me, "Do I look fat?" There's just no right answer to that.

My mildly chauvinistic joke aside, I think in GC form the puffiness over the rear haunches are a bit resolved compared to the the 2-door coupe. Granted, it's not as svelte as its predecessor, but it's not terrible. That front end though...

maybe that is the reason why BMW does not bring the M4 GC. maybe also they had to change the plan of the GC, because they made a BEV version.

Different bumper from the base models GC/coupe

Not digging those new door handles, they make the doors look very strange (small) looking in pics. The front bumper has to be a M spec, the air intakes on the standard bumper don't look good.

some aspects might not please some, but i think the worst part of the 4 series, the real defect are the oversized headlights. they are terrible in my opinion, caricatural.

the grille is actually slightly bigger than the one thats on the coupe, and thank god the M Sport front bumper doesn’t have that weird looking smiley face that the coupe has

With a few parts looking awkward especially the rear deck the car looks good overall in pictures. I can’t wait to see it in the metal.

You really don't recognize the BMW in this car if you hide the logo?
Given the amount of time I spend here, obviously the answer is yes.

But to me it's another example of BMW design drifting away from what we've been used to the last few decades. It's the same with the iX SUV!

Its not as sexy looking as the previous F30 GC. The new model is spoilt by those fugly tail lights but otherwise, it looks great from the front and front 3/4 shot.
