A6/S6/RS6 2026 Audi A6/S6 C9 Spyshots

510hp out of the V6, that sounds about right.

There is allegedy a 550hp of the V6 planned for a pure ICE version of the RS 5 but that's still TBD.

Also.. both the C9 RS and B10 RS will use the ZF8 instead of the DSG

I was actually surprised that the S5 didn’t use the ZF8.

So in audi line up the v8 will remain just for the sq7 and upcoming sq9 also with zf8 since dsg doesnt support that kind of power?

Perhaps Audi will add a V8 to the RS 6 down the line, just how Mercedes is doing a performance trim revision to the C and GLC and CLE..... but so far it seems it will be V6 + 2 e-motors.

TBH I wasn't expecting the PPC platform to get a ZF8 at all but yeah perhaps the SQ7 and SQ9 will keep the ZF8 also.

There will be an s6? If yes, i guess will get the rs5 engine

D8T = TH9 base engine, 270kW, hybrid, 360kW combined -- listed for FN (so I assume this is the S6)

M0S = TI0 base engine, 375kW, hybrid, 470kW combined -- listed for the FU (so I assume this is the RS5)
Based on this, no?!But why from cost efficiency point of view

THAT I think he's mis interpreting that info?

I believe the S6 will still retain the 2.9 and he confused information about the 3.0 V6 PHEV to be the S6. Tho we'll see

I finally got the chance to check out the car today. The material quality and build workmanship are much worse than I expected. The piano black materials are really poor quality. There’s a lot of trim rattles/noises, and compared to the C8, it genuinely feels like a significant step backwards.

It doesn't feel like a significant step backwards... it IS a significant step backwards.

C8 gen was perfect IMO with the dual screen layout, high quality materials, beautiful use of woods and aluminum, and options like extended leather and soft closing doors.

There isn't a single part of the C9 I can point out and say "that's an upgrade" except maybe MMI responsiveness and real exhaust tips. Even the wood trim options look incredibly cheap IRL.

Also, if any of you have sat in a new PPE or PPC Audi... the driver door GRAB handle is one of the worst ergonomic failures of modern interior design. Too far out to reach and too thick to try and grab.

Regarding the Audi brand, patience is of essence. IMHO, there is little if anything that could cause genuine enthusiasm until...maybe...the first significantly Massimo Fraschella influenced "Radical Next" vehicles make their debuts as serial production models. Or Audi aces it's new F1 endeavor. Perhaps the wait will be very much worth it. But until then, (former) fans of the brand will just have to endure the seemingly unrelenting slumber with slightly gritted teeth and that bland milquetoast aftertaste.

Turning down the "visual volume" on the C9 RS 6 may not be a bad idea. Fundamentally, the C9 is a handsome vehicle. It can actually look pretty nice.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
