7 Series (G70) [Rumors] BMW (G70) 7-Series Facelift (Spy pics & info)

The BMW G70 is the seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series. Model codes: G70 (short-wheelbase), G71 (long-wheelbase), and G73 (high-security). It has an electric variant, the BMW i7, along with Inline 6 740i and V8 760i models. Predecessor: BMW G11. Production: July 2022-
The possibilities are now endless with Alpina. I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

I hope Alpina brings back the V12 to BMW.

V8 in a big sedan is so......Bentley.

Chrome trim at the bottom of the front bumper and window moldings are also bright. And the side mirrors are from the Pure Excellence package, too.

I don't know about you, but I really like the Pure Excellence version. The Alpina G72, based on this front bumper, will look fantastic. The M package version doesn't look quite as good—it's full of Shadowline trim.

You 100% positively have them mixed up.

Yeah but when everything is about sheer mass, it remains in proportion.

Can't wait for Alpina vs Maybach. That'll be an old school power battle.
Back in the Eighties early nineties it was Alpina vs AMG before corporate swallowed it up. Pretty much history repeating itself.

That looks beautiful, but I'd be very surprised if it were just like that, doing exactly the same thing as before: wheels, decals, lip. I venture to think the change should be more profound.

It is quite remarkable how "fresh" this AI-assisted illustration of the LCI G70 (or, in this case, would that be G72 ?) looks. The G70 was officially presented 4 years ago, and the times are moving fast and changing. This speaks volumes regarding the sustainabilty of it's fundamental design.

"Presence" is arguably a pliable term. And attempting to achieve it merely by the virtue of "size" may not be the most compelling recipe. "Effortless Non-Pretentious Confidence" more suitable ?
In any event, a visually highly beneficial LCI for the 7er. And the LCI accomplishing a "turning down the volume" of that grill simply makes the G70(72) all the more "effortlessly confident" IMHO.

Rumor has it the interior is going to be like that of the iX3. A mounted central screen and even a passenger screen. If that’s the case, not a very stylish update and imo not fitting for the top model of the brand.
The initial enthusiasm I felt after seeing the those pictures of the new front, has been tempered.

The passenger screen in the new G70 LCI is a distinct unit, separate from the main central control display, but however somehow physically connected to it by means of some special dashboard styling gimmick. As well, is the passenger screen is not placed in line with the central display (actually, feels closer to the seat for easier reach by the passenger) and is slightly smaller than the main screen. Other than that, you can expect an abundance on leather, Alcantara, wood and metal trims all around the dashboard and cabin. Some of you will be quite stunned at how upscale & different the interior of the new 7 Series looks and feels.

Thanks for the detailed info. You've obviously seen it, and the result is that they've further improved the already excellent interior of the pre-FL model. Additionally, it's already been mentioned that the passenger screen will be optional. With your description, I'm more intrigued than ever to see the symbiosis of the NK's modern interior surrounded by the luxury you mentioned and to appreciate the differences with the current model.

The interior IMO didn't need anything, but it'll be interesting to see the changes nevertheless. Though I am pretty worried about the passenger screen, since I absolutely hate those things.

Who the f*ck uses those passenger screens anyways? At least I have never used them on the E-Class.
