Rotatability and powersliding of this RS 5 looks pretty fun, almost like an R35 GTR. My previous complaints with existing Audis trying to get the back to kick out in turns is the highly intrusive TCS systems that take over even when "disabled" and it looks like you have far more control now with this system.

Shame about the weight, will kill tires for sure 100%. I do wonder how brake life will be considering there is some regen braking as well.

Gloss red on silver wheels.. the classic Audi Sport look!

Wish aluminum trim was still available.. perhaps an Individual build will allow for that, just like that one BMW Individual M3 Touring with the silver window trim.

Wait until you sit in it though. This interior is beyond redemption IMO
Exterior is finally very nice again. I will give you that.

UGH don't even remind me!

I'm so sad the 2010 quattro never made it to production. Perfect proportions, perfect timeless styling and sharp lines and curves, weighed under 3,000lbs by using Audi's internal "Lightweight A5" body and a longitudinally mounted 2.5 i5.

Would've been the perfect Audi sports coupe. And man I can't get over the styling.

Very close indeed. Alas, fell victim to the corporate bean-counters.

With a tweak or two, this could fit into the upcoming "Radical Next" Frascella-supervised catalogue. 16 years old and continues to look far more cohesive, more fresh than any current Audi offering. Wolfgang Egger's masterclass.

Yes, certain isolated similarities.

However, IMHO, the exterior design of the SAIC AUDI ES5 Sportback lacks just a wee bit of the more mechanical device angular "edge" that the EL1 presents. Somehow, the very recently presented SAIC AUDI E7X SUV has accomplished this more compellingly.
