7 Series (G70) [Rumors] BMW (G70) 7-Series Facelift (Spy pics & info)

The BMW G70 is the seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series. Model codes: G70 (short-wheelbase), G71 (long-wheelbase), and G73 (high-security). It has an electric variant, the BMW i7, along with Inline 6 740i and V8 760i models. Predecessor: BMW G11. Production: July 2022-

This looks very attractive IMHO. The silly, buck-toothed grimace has been wiped-off the face of the G70.
This shows a chisled and determined face.

I love how blunt it is. She isn't pretty by far, but she has mega-presence and that is what maters in this class.

Maybe the front end is a bit too edgy and sharp compared to the rest of the car (which will remain practically unchanged)… for now, I think I’ll prefer the current one (which has a slightly more rounded front end).

That said, I personally prefer the Pure Excellence version — I’m not a fan of the M Package. This leak shows the M Package again, so I’ll wait for the Pure Excellence before making a proper judgment.

Am I a fan of vertical headlights? Yes — I would be, if this were an S-Class (as Robert Lešnik told me during the W222 presentation, they actually wanted to introduce them, but the board rejected the idea due to the financial crisis, saying it would appear too aristocratic for the situation at the time).
With the 7 Series, however, I prefer horizontal headlights, as they make the car look sleeker and wider.

But yes, we’ll have to wait for more images — and especially to see the car in person.

I still stand by what I said before: the philosophy of the G70 is completely different (the car needs to be bold and aristocratic, in a Rolls-Royce style), compared to something like the E38 (which was elegant, low, wide, and genuinely sporty).

Still has high standards for the GKL-Klasse. But the LCI will elevate it.
Interesting how the reboot of the Matrix has brought back the old rivalry of just Munich vs Stuttgart in Luxury Sedans. Now that Ingolstadt, Coventry and Modena have now all but withdrawn.

The rear was the weakest part of the 7. So bulbous with tiny tail light clusters. I hope they do something about that massive real estate.

Nailed it.
No, he has a photo to base it on and he still did it wrong. DLRs are much thinner and straighter, and the other parts need to be straighter too. Straight lines are key, remember, details make all the difference, so it's just a similarity.

Yeah it's night and day with the pre facelift for sure.

I wonder whether this is the M pack or the standard bumper.

My biggest expectation from the 7 Series facelift is that it will offer a true lounge experience, especially in the rear seats. While the G11/12 had a rear table, this wasn't offered in the new generation. Therefore, I expect a more luxurious rear seat package to be offered with the facelift.
