7 Series (G70/G71/G73) [Rumors] BMW (G70) 7-Series Facelift (Spy pics & info)

The G70/G71/G73 is the seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series, produced since July 2022. It comprises of the following model codes: G70 (short-wheelbase), G71 (long-wheelbase), and G73 (high-security). It has an electric variant, the BMW i7, along with Inline 6 740i and V8 760i models.

this is pretty accurate no?

In terms of sheetmetal surfacing, there has always been alot to like about the G70 7 series. Some reservations lie in what has been screwed, bolted or clipped on to the bodyshell. Sugar-Design's proposal is quite an improvement IMHO.

My pet beef about the G70 remains though. It simply takes up too much space and is simply too large for it's own good. Just shy of 5400mm L. IMHO, unnecessarily excessive. Trimming some length and height would put the G70 right on the money.

The front end of the current 7 series is its biggest styling failing; it just looks so awkward from every angle you look, there is nothing pretty or inspiring about it. There are many other cars with split headlights that can teach the BMW a thing or two about looking good. The hood height and front overhang is the problem. If they can invert the front end to make it look like older shark nose BMWs then it could possibly make the front end look decent.

There are several inconsistencies with the 7er front end. The double eyebrow theme in the daytime runners looks goofy, with the ill-fitted grill that fails to connect with the design theme, and the main headlights are disconnected from the grill's design in shape. It is an incongruent design language overall. Hopefully, the facelift can fix these issues. The slightly shorter front overhang, single strip daytime runners, and grill shape may rectify it.
