Comfort and handling are at the top of its class, but it doesn't have an aspirational face. It's the type of car you look at it and think "I want my next BMW to have the same face"

Not really the E65 LCI was halfway through its life in 2005. This update will not be seen until 2026 so again half way through G70/E life cycle.

Smaller kidney grill? I was under the impression that they are running out of space and that with the next generation the kidney grill will extend onto the hood, and maybe even the roof!

This car is lost. No facelift will make it better or more desireable. It's the overall stance, the side view and the height, in fact everything, that make it the car it is. I'm waiting for de successor, maybe that is going to be a good looking BMW again.
