7 Series (G70/G71/G73) [Rumors] BMW (G70) 7-Series Facelift (Spy pics & info)

The G70/G71/G73 is the seventh generation of the BMW 7 Series, produced since July 2022. It comprises of the following model codes: G70 (short-wheelbase), G71 (long-wheelbase), and G73 (high-security). It has an electric variant, the BMW i7, along with Inline 6 740i and V8 760i models.
I think it's being flattered by sitting unusually low on its suspension in most pictures, and I think the actual profile of the front will barely change.

I am not concluding anything whatsoever here. It is just an observation. Without a comparative photo of at least 90-95% for comparison, the differences will most likely come across as the same. The changes are subtle and will add a touch of sportiness to the rather stogy conservative look of the pre-LCI. If I am correct.

Of course I did. Big change in "persona" and down-the-road image but no fundamental change to proportions, silhouette etc. Body panels are body panels...

History has it BMW has made sheet metal changes and it appeared on the 2020 7-Series LCI.
The hood line on the 2020 LCI 7er is a bit taller and much flatter than the 2016 model giving it a more luxury car appearance.
The nose is also flatter on profile than the previous version. These were big changes IMO.
With the new LCI, the designers are going to play with the hood and front end like before.

THE 7 seems to be the anomaly. A Life Cycle Impulse usually requires no sheet metal changes. An example is the X7 amongst others. Yes it has a more dramatic facia than the original but the facelift is created using the same front wings from the original. Although you wouldn’t think it.

You and @klier are absolutely correct. I am happy to be wrong as this is the first BMW LCI I’ve heard of getting new body panels. Learn something new everyday. Now let’s see if the same happens for G70 LCI.

There has been some LCIs with metal body changes.

E53 LCI -> New hood and front fenders
E38 LCI -> New front fenders
E46 LCI -> New front fenders
E90 LCI -> New hood and trunk
E60 LCI -> New trunk
E65 LCI -> New hood and front fenders
E70 LCI -> New front fenders (okey, these are plastic at the E7x but still)
G11 LCI -> New hood and front fenders
