5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

It will be that the M5 LCI will be presented as a CS version with drums and cymbals, that rear wing winks at me

Damn right it is and i f'n love it!

This might be too painful for some... :D

M5CS? Looks the LCI will be very aggressive compared to the Pre LCI. I hope they’ll be more aggressive wheels those are too plain Jane for this car.
The m5 competition wheels design is much better than the standard m5 wheels design and to me its even better than the wheels options in the m8 .
M8 needs better and more aggressive wheels than the ugly ones that it already has !!

I pity those bought the pre-lci and i loved that car too. Since the E-46, it seems as if BMW is holding back some awesomeness on purpose in the initial version of the car.

I’ll have to disagree, I’d much settle for the M8 wheels over the M5CP by a long shot. These wheel would look sick on the M5CP and suit the aggressive LCI.

Even the upcoming 530e wheels look similar to the M5CP but are much more interestingly designed, when you look closer.

I've been perusing M5 forums on other boards for a while now. People have commented that the M5 is a boring car to own because its so competent. Despite this, I think this facelift model might be the perfect daily driver to have alongside my admittedly obnoxious AMG G63. This will be my first BMW purchase in a decade. I really, really like how this G30 LCI is shaping up.

First time i saw the m8 wheel design i like them but the more i see photoes and videos of the m8 the more i deslike them ,i think that there is alot going in the design in a bad way because sometimes less is more and at certain angle the wheel design looks weird and bulky !!

I get you, I’m not a fan of the non competition wheels below , but even these are more visually interesting to look at than the M5CP. They may not look good on the M8, but they would look better than the current M5CP wheels IMO.

Speechless

Why "speechless"? What experience do you have of the M5? Actual OWNERS have said it's boring.

It's a perfectly reasonable comment. I sold my M4 Coupe last year and I don't miss it one bit. These types of cars have become far too fast to drive on public roads. They're not "fun" at all. I test drove an E60 M5 with the V10 in 2004 just after it was launched, and I fully intended to buy one to replace my E46 M3 at the time. I concluded after one hour of the test drive that unless you were taking it by the scruff of the neck, it felt like you were driving a 520d. A car that you have to drive at 10/10 to get enjoyment from is utterly pointless on public roads. There's only so many times you can accelerate hard to 160km/h before you get bored or worried about keeping your license.

My R8 V10 still gives me a sense of occasion. The manual gear change is a delight when you get it right combined with some perfectly executed heel and toe action (50% of the time for me, especially when I've not driven it for a few weeks). My mum's 981 Boxster (yes, the basic model with the least power but the I6) is arguably the most satisfying car I've ever driven. Armchair car fans on this site who form their opinions on cars via YouTube videos without actually driving THEMSELVES have no idea what they're talking about.

The second most satisfying? Probably my 15-year-old Ford Ka with low-grip tyres on a damp day.

Even though the G30/31 are representatives of an "older school" form of BMW exterior design, they remain sharp looking cars. Perhaps the most eye-pleasing BMW 4 door ? For me, it's currently a tough choice between the G20/21 3er and the G30/31 5er.

Personally I think the G20 and even G11 are better looking than the G30. Maybe once its given the FL it will be an improvement, as witnessed in the leaked pics, but I would still choose the other 2 for looks. Interior wise it still looks outstanding inside and gives the 7 series a close run.
