5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

Overall a decent improvement making the 'generalised' best-in-class that much more irresistible as the go-to option in this class. As a father of one growing young man, I would struggle to decide between a similarly specced G20 and this
LCI

Real difference in driving character between the two, you should drive them both to see which you prefer.

I am most definitely feeling that front.

BMWBlog reported that pics ought to be coming out late May. The folks in BMW ought to move up the date.

The 5-Series and E-Class have been at each other throats for years and years and every time one advances the other advances again. The 5-Series takes the facelift round between the two of them. Pre-FL I preferred the E-Class exterior, but I actually like the 5-Series interior, but I could never buy a dull looking or ugly car (the 5er being dull). Now the tables have turned. I now need to actually see the E-Class FL in person before I can make a final decision on how it looks, which shouldn't be the case. The 5er just got the facelift it needed. The hood and front lights are perfect and bring it in line with the 3-Series. The interior was already great and the kicker is that at the E53 - M550i level my preference for a V8 is clear. The 5er takes the 2nd half of the W213 vs G30 contest.

I just saw some videos about the N63/S63 VANOS/ rod bearing problems. I really really want one but after being burnt by 2 BMWs I’m very skittish.

The only thing I don't like about these subtle facelifts and model changes is that they are...well too subtle. If a manufacturer has to release a comparison video, I think it's time to make more drastic changes. Plus even after the video, many still can't tell which one is new.

I might be in the minority here but personally I still like the styling of the F10 more than the G30, especially the tail lights look better shaped and also front lights.

Yes , F10 over Pre Facelift G30, but with the what I’ve seen so far with the LCI I strongly suspect I’ll prefer the newer car.
