5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

It’s a noticeable improvement especially the front lights which are sleeker but the rear lights still look odd although they a little better than the ugly tail lights on the Pre FL.

I like what I'm seeing here, and I'm already among the few (I assume) who like the current G30. While I kinda miss the signature circular theme of the headlights, I don't mind the new theme that much (I'm becoming too neutral to many things, cars included...).

The rear design is also better sorted for some reason, maybe just like @martinbo mentioned about the new graphics giving a smaller lens size.

I've noticed that BMW starts to place the amber turn signal light under the red brake light. Maybe it's not that significant, but I personally prefer the common stacking with the turn signal above from an aesthetic point of view.

I really don’t get this talk of the front headlights not being corona/ halo enough while most new BMWs haven’t been in a long time. These are in line with their 7 and 3 series just a different variation, but unmistakably BMW as modern BMWs are.

Add laser lights and you won’t mistake them for anything but a new 5 series.

Edit: Looking at theses BMW continues to make one of the best looking headlights in the industry.

It has finally lost that pre-LCI blandness which submerged with the arrival of the 3 series so now it's looking sharp. Still think the taillights are too large but most of all this makes me quite curious of what the G60 will bring in 2023, will it be as bold as the new 7?

What I like is that all headlight units are not entirely uniform.
They allow for each model to have its own corona interpretation.

It looks so much better than before. They gave it just the right amount of sprucing up, especially the hood and front lights. A M550i looks much better now.

Really excited about how the M5 is going to look with the new lights and bumper it should l...

Looks like this PS you guys were doubting sometime back was darn close with the headlight details. The outer air dam vents are a close match to the new X5M with the main front splitter being a match. The X5M might actually carry the DNA for the new generation M models across the line with slight modifications. If that is the case, this might be the look of the f/l M5.

Can't fault this 5-series really. This is BMW's segment to win for sure.

Overall a decent improvement making the 'generalised' best-in-class that much more irresistible as the go-to option in this class. As a father of one growing young man, I would struggle to decide between a similarly specced G20 and this LCI
