It's a big no for me. Very disappointing design language for this generation of MB vehicles.

The next-gen CLA is the first car to come with MB.OS. There will be a full gaming suite included, so the "fun" will definitely be in full force starting from the cheapest model.

You have been posting lately about the next CLA. Do you have any inside info about its design somehow?

Frankly I'm very impressed with what i've seen so far. They could have done a variation on either the C class or S class dash, but actually the design and integration of the HVAC is really unique and looks special, dare I say more so than in the S Class.

Would need to see it in person, but again the material quality looks good, being both luxury and contemporary.

For usability I think the fixed location of the hvac controls in the S is superior.

Good job, like it or not, it's leagues better than what Tesla is doing and those who copy Tesla like Volvo etc., I don't know if it's ideal but this is better

Lack of door trims on all new MB's makes it just like everybody else, now its no difference between A or E doors.
We don't want to see the base interior, haha

Correct. Form MY2023 the M3/M4 will have black leather on door cards. If you want orange etc, you have to spec extended leather.

Hmmm. Even after two days of the "reveal", I still don't like the interior. It lacks any sort of aesthetics.

Kaum noch getarnt aber Weltpremiere im 2. Quartal 2023
Ursprünglich hat Mercedes CFO Harald Wilhelm die Weltpremiere für Ende 2022 angekündigt. Aufgrund noch für Mercedes nicht ganz 100%iger Qualität wurde die Markteinführung leicht nach hinten verschoben.

Die Weltpremiere ist nun im 2. Quartal 2023. Die Auslieferungen starten vermutlich mit dem Beginn des 3. Quartals 2023.

Yup. My neighbour recently replaced a 3 year old Audi A5 Cab with a 2003 CLK with grey interior. I have driven the Merc and on the inside it feels like a luxury rather than a premium car.

They sure did. What this line of discussion is missing is that this is a design trend in general. Wood especially is being seen as old school. Even the Bentley Flying Spur gets sparse with the trim by the time you get to the back seat:

That's true and they talked shit about the W213 and they will talk shit about the W214 interior as well. Suddenly they will fondly reminisce about the physical switches inside the W212 and W213, ignoring the fact that they talked shit about their interiors back then.
