That's right, notorious and a topic of conversation due to disappointment, I think VW too, I don't know if Seat, Cupra.....luckily Bentley, Porsche etc. they were saved, the Audi thing is a shame because of the reputation they had earned for years in this regardThey used to be at least. Even they are showing signs of weakness - RS e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron have cheap materials throughout. The Q3 and A3 have cheap interiors that are worse than the previous generation as well.
I agree. For me, given where the car industry and interior design trends are headed due to the push to digitize and monetize driver/passenger experience, the G12, G30 (pre facelift) and especially G15 interiors are among the best ever (in the series production luxury sedan/coupe segment).Audi is a bit iffy. I don't consider the current A4/5 or Q5/Q7 to have a better quality interior than the BMW 3er/4er/X3/X5. However, the A6/7/8 line have incredibly high quality interior, I would say higher quality than the 5er/8er, but not the 7er.
Because we are searching the really best modern and elegant interior - worldwide. This E-class interior surely doesn't belong to that.Gents why are you talking about BMW interiors in the new E-class thread?
I do understand your point of view, but we still yet to see the standard E-class interior as well as the front and rear seats and different interior colours and trim. I agree that the latest Mercedes interiors have lost that special appeal with the new generation. Personally, I think that they could have done better than use the Superscreen cover the entire dash. Not all buyers will be interested in the biggest screen, some still like elegance in their dash as well as some wood or metal trim strips.Because we are searching the really best modern and elegant interior - worldwide. This E-class interior surely doesn't belong to that.
Are we sure that it will be called again hyperscreen? I believe this name will be left only for the solution, in which all screens are under one glass. Here we have only one additional screen for the passenger and the other two screens look the same like the ones in the basis version. That's why I believe, that it would be a much more affordable option, than the original hyperscreen. Somewhere between 2000 Euro and 4000 Euro, more inclined to the later, than to the former.I’d be interested in the price of the hyperscreen for the W214. Will it be the same as in the EQ models or are the prices falling due to the fact it’s now offered in more models and an expected higher take rate.
Come closer, let me whisper a secret in your ear. Ready ?
You can turn it off .
Licks your earlobe.
You have been posting lately about the next CLA. Do you have any inside info about its design somehow?
Just curious.
Hyperscreen as opposed to the single center screen. My estamation is around € 4.000 - € 5.000, eventually in an obligatory combination with other extras, like 3D driver screen. Indeed, it will. It’s the first who’s getting parts of MB.OS software is one of them. Fortunately many of those new features the E will be offering, aren’t really substantial, at least not to me. Thinking of the passenger screen, the Apps, the camera on the dashboard for Zoom meetings, etc.The E will likely feature everything MB has currently available, which is more than the S class has as it's been on the market for some time......
It looks like in some of the press material it is called Superscreen in the E-class. Not sure why since it looks virtually the same but the E-class 3 screens have new tech that is not even available on the Hyperscreen in the EQ models. The glass company that makes these screens must be smiling to the bank.I’d be interested in the price of the hyperscreen for the W214. So to adjust your vents you have to go into the screen menu and then press upper body for moving the vent to your upper body or face. It would probably be quicker to just move the vent manually. Probably an unnecessary funtion in my opinionJESMB
I don't know how you will call it, but around here it is said, "what a fart thing"So to adjust your vents you have to go into the screen menu and then press upper body for moving the vent to your upper body or face. Personally I think Continental have better solutions some already probably used in production models.

I blame Tesla for starting the nonsense of electronically controlled vents. German car manufacturers thought “Well, if Tesla can get away with that, so can we. Two weeks ago I got a taster of this in the i7.So to adjust your vents you have to go into the screen menu and then press upper body for moving the vent to your upper body or face.
