I'll take any bet, that a decent speced E450d will cost way above € 100.000,-. Meaning it will reach pre pandemic S class price territory. I call that insane...

Correct. Whilst not wanting a C and not affording an E, the luck of one or the other will be, that none of these cars will fit decent tastes.
Because SUPERPLASTIC or, more correctly, big plastic (in the door panels btw) is a show stopper.

I mean, what kind of bet is that even? A simple base C220d 4matic is already OVER 70k. Not a single option selected....
E450d 'decently specced' will cost 150k easy, and probably more.

And btw, the E class is no longer available on the configurator it seems. W214 is close now.

If you think that the outgoing E63S was £100k in the UK, as I understand it, they sold 800 of all E63 variants across 6 years, that's just 133 a year. Yes, it's a relatively extreme car but it was also one many people dreamed of purchasing. Also across 4 years with the GT63, about 230, so about 57/58 per year at £140k. They also sold 22 EQS 53's in the UK at £160k...Yes, it wasn't out the entire year but the sales drop off significantly as the price increases, it's going to be very interesting looking at the next couple of years sales figures.

You got some serious taxes going on over there at the moment?

Current E 450 4MATIC AMG Line Night Edition Premium Plus on the UK configurator is only £65k/€74k, and a C 220 d AMG Line Saloon (looks like we only get 4Matic on the C43) is £44k/€50k

Dutch market is even more crazy, though it will not be that absurd, that’ll reach the € 150.000. I hope…
