@Rolf, you are absolutely right, but I think there is so much anticipation for this car, and fresh news that is slow to arrive (like new photos and official date from Mercedes Benz on the presentation) that the friends here in the forum have gone a a little off topic

Exactly, just a bit of chit chat while the good stuff arrives, presenting some data from the near past that by their nature are not subject to interpretation
 
RE: sales of the F10 vs. W212, for historical context it's important to remember that this was the exact time period that Mercedes was floundering in the Chinese market. This, combined with Peter Pfeiffer's divisive styling effects, required obvious intervention. They were selling over 170,000 cars less than Audi in China in 2011. 2012 saw a less than 2% sales increase, with their new strategy showing effect in 2013 with a 11% sales increase in China followed by a 29% in crease YoY in 2014. The E-class contributed nicely to these sales increases.

The F10 had been selling wonderfully in all markets since launch - a truly successful model run.

Perhaps it is the policy that Mercedes has been following lately, I remind everyone to give an example that the new GLC was not discovered long before its debut. Come on, let's hope that some TV made in China will give us some scoop

The GLC doesnt create to much hype compared to the S and the E class

Yeah man we all are getting itchy for the leaks.

I checked the W213 thread, and the first pics were posted on 5 Jan 2016, so hope the W214 will be revealed in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
