Renders [Renders] New 2017 Peugeot 508

Piqued. Looking forward to its unveiling, especially to see how their concept interiors have translated for production form.
Let's see how it turns out to be. I hope Peugeot will bring the 508 to the U.S someday. It could compete with the Mercedes C class and/or the Audi A4.

Finally, it took Ploue 8 years to finally recreate a real identity after he did the same at Citroen.

If they are monitoring Alfa Romeo's progress in getting a step-hold in the US market, I think the chances might be dismal. IMO, of course.

PSA has opened their US headquarter in Atlanta this month but we don't know which brand will be sold there... they have no car that comply with US regulation at the moment I believe. Opel will take care of this because they got some experience, since they developped several car sold under the Buick badge.

^ It's more like a CLA competitor than a C class one, btw. Price wise that is.
I agree in term of price, but I think it would be around the same size ( dimension and engine size) with the A4. Well, just my guess. But I think Peugeot would bring its own SUV to the US first, instead of the sedan.

Wow this car is shaping up to be the most exciting looking Peugeot in a while (probably since the RCZ). Peugeot need an injection of change and innovation in their designs to make people take notice.

These renders look quite accurate and the front is also looking good.

Right, right. I heard about the HQ at ATL.

Very progressive. Mazda have had a design edge in the sub-premium sector. This is a strong product by Peugeot. I have never driven their cars but could be the first one I give a shot.

Bravo!

Official? Interior looks distinctively seventies utopian French. Huge slab surfaces.long wooden panels and leather everywhere.

And it has frameless door windows, which is unique in this class. Very elegant car from PSA, reminds me Alfa Romeo 156 a bit.

that interior...ooh-la-la. Distinct, modern.

The exterior....hmmm.
The side profile and front is realtively non-descript, save for the LED fangs. The rear is nice only marred by the reverse light location.

Front overhang is just too big :(
Nicely done for the rest, but those proportions just don't work for me. The front wheel is simply too close to the door.

Front overhangs were never Peugeot's forte, but the overall design is totally amazing, especially for what is supposed to be a budget family sedan!

Well done, Peugeot! Well done!

Peugeot

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. Founded in 1810, Peugeot is regarded as the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849-1915) built the company's first car steam tricycle. They joined forces with Léon Serpollet in 1886; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine.
