The DS 7 is a compact luxury crossover SUV from DS Automobiles. Presented for the first time on 28 February 2017, the vehicle's public premiere was at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in March 2017 and was known as the DS 7 Crossback globally prior to 2023 and briefly in China. The DS7, like the Citroën C5 Aircross, is based on the EMP2 platform of Groupe PSA. Though not the first SUV for and from the brand (see DS 6), it is the first SUV for Europe.
I bet it will have a nice interior, as Peugeot is getting better and nicely designed interiors by the day, but no single car in their line up is something you can call beautiful. So my guess is the same goes for DS. A shame, for all the effort they're putting to raise their image.
No, it's based over the EMP2 platform from PSA Peugeot Citroën.
This car will be a disaster for DS and Citroën. It's a mix of Audi and Infiniti FX35 in the rear door and the front is absolutely different. Front is modern based in DS E-Tense and later you see the rear and is old.
By all accounts the reconfigured 3008 SUV is selling like Wildfire in France and the rest of Europe.
The iCockpit is very innovative perhaps even more understandable than Audi's. The dash is pretty cool as well.
Well, it's not bad, nicely designed. But to wear DS badge, in my opinion it should have hydropneumatic suspension.
They are making money on DS division, but they could at least put that kind of suspension on DS5 and this.
Hopefully, one day when they raise money, Citroen will make limousine/sedan with techy and innovative stuff (and radical design too).
