Thank you very much, very interesting, the pattern repeats itself and will surely continue to rise with the G60, it is notorious:

-The E60 is the one that has been extremely stable for 4 years.
-The F10 hits an important leap increasing more than 100,000 units compared to its predecessor to never go down again
-The market share chart is obviously inversely proportional to the total sales of the brand that have increased ostensibly by millions of units adding SUV's, but the 5 series does not stop increasing with each generation.

M5 Touring is confirmed for the US per the "Future BMW Information" thread on Bimmerpost, so possibly might have a regular 5er wagon as well?
You are right the G99 have been kind of confirmed but the news don’t look too good for the G61 let’s hope Bmw will change their mind.

The rise of the F10 is due to the emerging of a new important market - China. Without it there would be a significant decrease in the sales, caused mainly by the customers' migration to SUVs

I had forgotten the small detail of China.
I don't think sales would have decreased, but rather they would have maintained with a very slight % annual growth, the luxury market continued to grow

I would love to see a chart of the historical sales of the 5 series, the last thing I saw showed always a constant increase from generation to generation, I calculate that it will not be different with this one and it is what you are looking for, but it intrigues me if in the environment that we live among SUV's That has changed lately in relation to market share, I would also love to see the comparison against the E-Class, but I can't find it or there isn't a historical one
F10 had sold 2 million. W212 1.2 million. The 213 achieved similar sales figures with the G30 and may even be ahead of the overall.

According to the information shared by Mercedes, W211 sold 1.6 million. I couldn't find the sales information, but I don't think the 212 is selling any more.

The 5er sales in US has been on a downward spiral just like 3er -

Europe too -

China is the only major market where 5er sales is growing -

So if you see the next 5er in red with gold trim, don't be surprised.

I knew that China is a fruitful market for sedans but wasn't aware that they are die hards.

Spectacle sales figures for the 5Series. Greater than US and EU combined. No wonder manufacturers produce China only saloons.

In the US the sales decline of the 5er is usually compensated with the sales increase of the X5. The average sum of their sales for the last 20 years is almost a constant.

5er and X5 are the absolute core of BMW. Everything else is molded around those two cars.
And The 3er. Mid-Segment luxury cars to some markets. Elsewhere especially here in Europe.
Surprisingly good fleet choices.
Here in Munich there are marked and unmarked 330e’s and 330e Tourings,iX3’s and i3’s being used which sums up some form of transition has commenced.
I read that in the UK as part of a Green Slant? They are moving to Volvo’s for their Police fleets?
Wait till the i5 and i5 Touring comes. A full electric wagon choice for the first time in the segment.

US Markets tend to concentrate on the higher level of 5er such as,530e,540i and M550i.
Europeans have a far greater choice with even more entry models. Remember when standard entry models came phone screen sized iDrive screens and halogen headlights.

Sorry didn't follow previous pages can anyone confirm if unveiling is happening in Oct. or next month?

Some forces stopped buying specific BMW specialist vehicles after a catastrophic engine failure caused a fatality at high speed on a motorway. BMW has since then decided to pull all specialist vehicles from sale in the UK. Seemingly a combination of lessening demand vs cost of implementation vs using up chips on fleet discounted vehicles. BMW Park Lane (as a company, rather than the dealer) is being restructured accordingly.

With that void needing to be filled, Volvo is certainly already an established face of British police cars, with the 850 T5 being the high speed pursuit car of choice for a while, and somewhat iconic in its role. Volvo's also fairly well established with Fire & Rescue services. I'd suggest it's image as safe, reliable, and sensible is as much a factor, I don't think we really consider Volvo a particularly green brand here, but I could be wrong on that.

Correct, in reference to what was mentioned by someone above, incorrectly, there is talk of a downward spiral in reference to 2020/2021 USA and Europe as if someone did not know what happened those two years, in China only two cities closed, so it did not vary so much
F10 had sold 2 million. W212 1.2 million.
No way the F10 had outsold so much the W212.
Key moment in which the F10 was very good and the 212 did not like it very much, I know that that 5 series beat it well, but I do not think that for such a difference, not even close
