May '23, 8th generation.

PHEV, BEV, Diesel and gasoline. Everything for everyone. Touring and sedan, from i5 to M5.

I thought the release would be closer🥴why tease us and wait 2 months to release it

Meh, BMW is holding it back with only two months. Two months is nothing, and will be over before you know it.

It'll leak before anyways. Hopefully not as bad as all these leaked parts of the E class.

BEV for the Norwegians, PHEV for the British, Diesel for the Germans and Gasoline for the Americans. And the M5 for everybody; Norwegians included.

Just no Touring for the Americans, which will always be a stupid decision.

The upcoming M5 Touring has me salivating already. And the i5 Touring will be a huge hit here in the EU!

BMW 5-series touring would only sell (somewhat) well in America if BMW decide to make a 5er Touring disguised as an SUV, something like a (slightly) jacked-up 540i Touring xDrive with some off-road-ish name like "All-Terrain", "Allroad", "Cross Country", you know, the sort of marketing BS to fool convince American (and Canadian) customers that it's an SUV and not an slightly jacked-up station wagon.

Literally just saw one testing, well I've seen several, still too much camo though.

Edit: and an i5 touring.

Sweet, in Munich I presume?

Make some pics of the camoed cars!

That had been my goal, but other than just seeing a Spectre, there's nothing interesting. It's all camoed up more than we've seen before.

Typical spot for spotting though...

Notice the priority on i5 instead of 5er. Investors and Shareholders get to see the car in a closed room at the annual conference.
Will the marketing strategies of the combustion and hybrid powered 5 Series be slightly different from the pure electric i5? Similar to what BMW did with the G26 4 Series and i4 Gran Coupés with a separate marketing campaigns. For example: both 4er and i4 are having their own brochures/catalogues. Or is it the same approach as what they did with the current G70 and U11 where both 7er+i7 and X1+iX1 are equally presented and promoted from the beginning/product introduction.

but other than just seeing a Spectre
And?.... how does it feel irl?
Showing new Wheels there babe. You have an exclusive.
They look brutal and huge, will they be 22"?
The NEUE KLASSE will start out in the high-volume core of the BMW brand with a Sports Activity Vehicle
Will this be something new like the iX? or a full size X7 size EV or something conceptually new from "X"
the X3, X1, X2, X5/iX ETC, are already .....
production of at least six NEUE KLASSE models will begin across the BMW Group's worldwide production network in the first 24 months.
Will 6 models in two years go to that platform or will there be new ones? How intriguing...

It felt like...

... my camera strap was caught on my camera bag and I couldn't lift the camera to look through the view finder.

swing and a miss.
I look like a "ghost" ;) more than a "spectre"

"The 5-Series electric wagon will give BMW "a unique selling point" in the wagon segment, CEO Oliver Zipse said on Wednesday while presenting the company’s 2022 results and 2023 forecast."

The 5 Series was the best-selling car in Europe's premium large-car segment last year, with sales of 53,638, according to figures from market analysts Dataforce.

The 5 Series finished ahead of the Audi A6 and the Mercedes E-Class. The E-Class is also due to be replaced this year. Mercedes has already launched a full-electric model in the segment, the EQE.

I think it will be like the i7 and iX1. THE 4 arrived ahead of the i4. However the LCI could bring them together.
