The rear is very cool, I like those lights, I just don't see the mandatory "L" shape...although the X3 LCI isn't an "L" either..; thumbs up.
The front and the side are very 3 series, I hope a more "modern" approach , I guess it will be

Those renders are terrible. Looks like the worst economy car you can name. It's supposed to be a 5-Series, not a Ford Focus.

I think the 21 inch M Sport wheels on the upcoming G60+G61 are surprisingly looking better and more polished than the 21 inch M Aerodynamic wheels that the G70 wears.

And I agree, it's going to be very popular in Europe, an EV 5er Touring.
But if you're planning to buy an EV 5er, don't expect to go on vacation with it easily. It will have a major Achillis heel.

Agreed EV tech hasn’t reached the stage where it can be used as a long hauler irrespective of what anybody says, but for those that live in countries where the infrastructure is there I can see it being very popular. It’s an EV that still looks like a normal BMW.

I think BMW having their ICE and EV cars on the same platform which look the same on the outside and inside is a strategy which will pay off for what is going to be a very long transitioning between ICE and EV IMO.
