Congestion charges unless you are electric or low emission no?

A congestion charge is not a "vehicle ban". You can still drive your car into central London, it's just that at certain times of the week you have to pay for the privilege.

It's important to get these facts straight when there are people from all over the world reading this forum who may think cars are banned in London.

As for the London Motor Show, the 2010 and 2012 events were cancelled due to the recession. It had nothing to do with the environment. The event has since been relaunched anyway, and it was held in 2016 and 2017 in Battersea Park, and in May this year at the ExCel Centre.

So people can be out priced from driving in London then especially if the vehicle has high emissions?
Is that not a way or a start to stop you driving a car? Not just in London, but other cities are banning cars from their cities especially ones of age and emissions. It's the stepping stone to complete eradication of ICE cars in the cities. Might not happen in our lifetime. But it will happen.

I've no idea what this has to do with anything. I'm simply correcting your assertion that London has banned vehicles. It hasn't.

We have a flat just outside London in Surrey, and 50% of the time my girlfriend and I will drive when seeing a show or a gig. There are plenty of places to park for free at the weekends, and if I take my M4, the underground car parks in Knightsbridge have reasonable deals for parking after 1800.

The M Sport package got better with the newest models. The M-specced G11/G12 is digestible (not entirely), while the M Sport trim for the 5er is honestly the most balanced and refined sports package one could get in the business/executive class. So, expect the M Sport G20 to be even crisper than the corresponding F30.

The F30 M Sport is just beautifully designed on the outside. Nice clean lines with an aggressive stance.

I do genuinely miss my F30. It never failed to captivate me in terms of looks or drives. Moreso than my current X3 which fullfills its purpose but fails to light my fire unfortunately.

Press Packs are being sent now. Expect a leak as is always the case.
But not long till the Mondial l'Auto opens anyway but the Paris BMW brand showroom off the champs elyesse will be having a preview on the eve of the event.

This was actually BMW at the London MotorFair October 1997. Directly after the IAA there used to be...

The E46 was on the front cover of the 14 Nov 1997 issue of AMS magazine, lets hope the G20 will appear on the front cover of the next issue 27 Sep 2018 or on the issue coming 2 weeks after that 11 Oct 2018:)

Agree. The F30 M340i with MPPSK is much more fun than the new X3 M40i.
