EQE (V295) [Renders] 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE

The Mercedes-Benz EQE (V295) is a battery electric executive car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group. It is part of the EQ family, and was presented at the Munich Motor Show 2021. Production: 2022- Model years: 2023–
That’s never a good way of getting to the U.S. price. Expect Mercedes to price it on par with the E-class and close to the I4, so closer to $55k.
Yes, $55K and 350+ mile range, then count me in. Remember, Tesla M3 with dual motors and 353 mile range is about $51K.

Maybe 350+ mi WLTP range. Will probably be right at 300mi EPA, possibly less for the AMG versions. We’ll see.

When is the EQE due in the US?

M

It won’t be hitting U.S. dealers until Q4 2022, possibly late Q3.

I think WLTP range is 401 miles. EPA rating is around 88% of WLTP. So it should come out 350 mile range. I prefer the standard screen to the Hyperscreen. I don't think we should pay too much for the electric cars. By the way, beware of the first model year issues.

We already saw that calculus come up short with the EQS range though.

Any info on what the other drivetrain options for the EQE are? So far we only know the rear-wheel drive EQE350, and we've seen spy shots of the EQE53 4Matic. Any other variants confirmed?

Despite the look I would like to get a EQE. Unfortunately my budget is not good enough for these cars. I hope that also Mercedes soon will change to more affordable battery types.
Tesla uses LFP batteries (from BYD or CATL, forgot the details, sorry). They last 10000 cycles, which is a five fold progress. And other improvements are also in the pipeline for the next few years. (4680 from Tesla or even larger cells from CATL).
And to ease pressure on resources like lithium and nickel there are now also new types with Na-Ion (Natrium ion technology).
I saw a summary from a professor from Ulm (HIU in Ulm) who described some new technologies and improvements to be expected until 2025. Looks really exciting. He is a professor for battery technology, so obviously quite serious, compared to other web sources. (Prof. Fichtner,

So I will have to wait for the next generation, maybe in 2024 or 25.

Maybe you can simply watch the pics ??. Or ask a representative of Mercedes USA if they have a link to an English translation. Many of the foils contain mainly English buzzwords.

The EQE looks alot better proportioned and more stylish than the larger EQS.

I think probably due to the shorter rear deck. It looks good in this 3/4 rear shot.

The front also looks better than the EQS, but I think it would look even better if Mercedes didnt use that plastic grill.

Much like the EQS, the EQE will probably be a "grower". Appealing presentation in elegant colours and with attractive rims will leave many taking a second glance and not immediately dismissing it. The genuine test for the EQE will arrive when the BMW i5 and Audi A6 eTron are introduced.

No it really doesn't. Both are absolutely mindblowingly horrible to look at.

I have seen the EQS at the dealership BTW. Neatly tucked away in the furthest corner, because they themselves hate it over there.

How Gordon Wagner is retaining his role after the EQ turds is beyond me! Someone up their in the MB board would have questioned his design direction, I would have thought.

I haven’t seen one yet or the EQS seems UK can’t get stocks I understand the design of the EQ is not going to please most of us I don’t honk it’s ugly but doesn’t excite me one bit saying think it’s about the design team I think we all know they can design some beautiful cars I have a feeling it’s more about the drag and aerodynamics but yes they could have done better

I really wanted to see a EQS the sales guy said they haven’t even seen one at the dealer which is a big dealership here

This car still puts the U in Ugly for me, MB was once a symbol of elegance, opulence , and presence in the street, now with their whole EQ lineup, it looks like a fa*T.... sorry Mercedes, but you were asked to give up your combustion engine, not your whole Identity.

Even the S-Class is a rare sight unless I'm in central London or near a major airport. I doubt that I will see an EQS at a supermarket.
