EQE [Renders] 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE

The Mercedes-Benz EQE (V295) is a battery electric executive car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group. It is part of the EQ family, and was presented at the Munich Motor Show 2021.
They don't seem to like it very much

Mercedes EQE vs Genesis Electrified G80: 2023 twin test review
Smooth, refined electric executive saloons from Mercedes and Genesis battle it out

Winner:
Genesis Electrified G80
With the G80’s biggest weakness – its combustion engines – taken out of the equation, we were expecting the Genesis to perform strongly. But to beat Mercedes is a massive achievement.

Some pearls:

"Performance and handling are average for the class, and some basic ergonomic decisions have been poorly made. Most concerning is that the EQE doesn’t feel like it’s worth almost £90,000."

Sean Carson, associate editor: “This test result is a really impressive showing for Genesis. Not because it has produced a car that can go toe-to-toe with Mercedes and come out on top, but because it has made a machine that’s more desirable.”

Dawn Grant, picture editor: “I can see what Mercedes was getting at with the EQE – focusing on aerodynamics in a car where every mile of range matters makes a lot of sense. We just wish it had injected some of the magic of the Vision EQXX concept into the mix to make its production cars more desirable.”

Just looking at it the choice is clear and I'm not a Genesis fan. That it's technically same or better is a surprise to me. Not all non-BEV platform cars are bad.

Main goal and most important emphasizing a Mercedes is performing poorly, @dalab.

Rumours of price cuts for the EQE in some markets e.g. New Zealand at least. Also slowing down of production due to lack of demand. Can anyone confirm? I wonder if there will be price reductions in the EU

I have seen several EQEs on the street already.

It's as terrible as in pics. Can't stand how this EQ line up ever got the greenlight.

This has been known for quite a while. I and a few members talked about this somewhere in the EQS thread. We're going to see some intensive upgrades now that Mercedes is bringing a lot of their EV components and development in house.
