Macan [Renders] 2021 Porsche Macan E

The Porsche Macan is a compact luxury crossover SUV (D-segment) produced by Porsche since 2014. It is the smaller SUV from Porsche below the Cayenne. The first-generation Macan went on production from February 2014 with petrol and diesel engine options. In 2024, Porsche released the second-generation Macan which is a battery electric vehicle built on the dedicated Premium Platform Electric (PPE) EV platform.
Just read on another forum that the car's unveiling will be on January 25th, and this was confirmed by the OP's Porsche Centre. Haven't seen a mention of a date anywhere else as yet so unsure of its accuracy, but it would be nice to rip the bandaid off and see what we're dealing with.

Is it just me or there’s something off with its proportions?

I understand that it is just a deep facelift and nothing more, like the Cayenne…

You understand wrong. It's a full BEV with nothing to do with the current ICE version. They will both be sold simultaneously for at least a bit.

Really?, another totally different body design? I didn't know, it didn't seem as deep as what the spy previews showed...

What’s next for Porsche in terms of design? Now the entire line up will have the same rear lights. Is there anything new coming?

Yep - the dreaded integration of split headlights.

At least that seems to apply only to Macan E, which shares its DNA with the Q6. This is what seems to explains the split headlights.

First Porsche SUV not to sit on a FWD architecture plus the added benefit of being an EV with a much lower center of gravity.
Track footage looks more than promising. This thing will be something truly special.
The current Macan and Cayenne are pretty damn amazing to drive given what they are based on and being big heavy SUVs but I expect this new one to be on a whole different level.
Good range too but that's to be expected since the Taycan already does great in that respect.

No it doesn't, it's one of the few drawbacks of the Taycan.
Maybe on paper. Highway tests show it's overachieving whereas the benchmark Model S is actually underperforfing. Both are prety close in 70 and 75 mph tests. Then there's the Air but it's in its own league in terms of range.
Worth mentioning is the EQS has great real world range but it's too expensive to make a proper comparison.

I'm not talking "on paper". I'm talking as an owner of two Taycans in the last nine months. I currently own, a GTS Sport Turismo, collected in July last year. I have all the efficiency data recorded, as well as from my first Taycan, a RWD saloon. Just because it beats the official EPA rating, it doesn't automatically mean it's efficient.

I love my GTS in pretty much every way, but it's not remotely efficient.

Funny you should say that, because I have a lot of experience of the EQS too. A 450+ 4MATIC, over thousands of kilometres. I'm planning to publish it on here at some point, along with other cars I've driven recently, such as the Q8 e-tron. Tomorrow I'm collecting another EV, most likely a BMW iX eDrive40, but not confirmed yet. I'll have that for seven days and several thousand kilometres.
