Not sure where you are, but the GLB is not a flop in this market.

Germany.
The car is selling well below expectations.
Thats why Daimler is trying so hard and boost new commercials, but without better results. The car is ugly AF, same long as a GLC, but with worse space. A total flop.
Also in Slovenia, they barely sold a few. In the whole country.

Hell no.

The GLB takes away sales from the GLC which isn't a good thing since marging is better with the GLC.

While the GLC is almost EOP and has turned out into a cash-cow, GLB crosshoppers have become an eyesore for Daimler's distribution.

It is true.

The GLB doesn't have a predecessor and Daimler shifted 10k units to its customers in Germany in 2020 despite the fact that the GLB has only been available since the beginning of 2020. This car is completely new for Daimler's "target-group".

You are missing out that this is the only seven seater, unless you pay north of 100k$ for the GLS.

All of the GLB sales are missed GLC sales because of the aforementioned aspects.

The GLB spilled doom to the B-Class and eliminates many reason to pay a hefty price hike for the GLC.

but still it doesent sell
Because of his displeased design. The car is ugly af.
And the 7 seats? Only on paper.
Have you seen the space in the 3th row live?
I have, they can keep it.
And now i rest my case

Yeah it sold better than the GLA by almost 2000 units last quarter here in the U.S. Unsurprising that it’s more popular than the GLA in some markets and not others.

That is in those markets, not overall. The GLB is not a flop because you don’t like it or because it’s not as strong in every single market.

i postet the numbers. Global.
It sells 2x less then the GLC

That doesn’t mean it’s a flop.

Maybe it’s not a flop, I don’t know what sales numbers MB was expecting. But it must be disappointing that it is selling half of what the old and outgoing GLC is doing.

I don’t think we know enough to make that statement, especially given the GLA and GLB heavily overlap in price. It’s like the A-class sedan and CLA (similar to C-class in size to boot) to me; two different flavors of a similarly priced vehicle. Apparently the net profit is worth it to Benz for now.

The GLB is outselling the GLC, X3 and Q5 in the Australian market. And it is by no means cheap. I wouldn't be suprised if the margin was just as good as the GLC given its cheaper platform.

Well obviously the GLB will need to move up in size, and it’s taking GLC sales but the next GLC will move up in size.

Its an important year for Mercedes SL. Not just a brand new model, but also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of the R107 in April 1971.

I was just wondering: Now that S coupe is no more , would a E63 coupe make sense?

Because , in the past , as far as I know , E63 coupe was not on the market so that it would not cannibalize S63 coupe sales...

SL does not look like a replacement for a proper coupe AMG flagship

E63 Coupe/Cabrio and a CLS 580 are all on my (now dead) V8 wish list. An E63 Cabriolet would have been perfect.
