You can fit 4 people in there?

Not really, I reckon.

We may be seeing something similar to that "rear seat option" offered for the R107 SL way back in the 1970s'/80s'.

According to jesmb it will debut during Spring 2021.

Hopefully, in a better time in which masks are a distant memory.

I wonder how MB is going to implement the new vertical touch screen set up on a sporty interior. Proably along the lines of Ferrari Roma, if I had to guess.

Also, taking into account the GT is going to share a lot with this SL, let's hope both models are different enough.

Look good so far, but I don't get the point of making the SL an all AMG lineup. This is supposed to be the luxury/sport roadster. If you're going to make it all AMG then how hard core is the next AMG GT going to be? No SL500/560/580? Terrible decision.

I think Mercedes took note to the fact that the average age of a non-AMG SL buyer was...very old. Back in 2016 at the time of the SL facelift, Mercedes acknowledged that 50% of SL volume is made up of U.S. sales and the owners averaged late 50s/early 60s. They were hoping the SL400 (pre facelift) and SL450 (post facelift) were going to help with this but younger buyers instead largely went elsewhere.

It does look somewhat like a mix of the current CLS at the front and the AMG GT at the back. I really hope it doesn't use the same taillight-arrangement of the upcoming S-Class that scream Audi.
Not that sure if I like what I'm seeing. :bored:

The taillamps are not the only possible element that would lead us to suspect some sort of covert collaboration involving the Neckarsulm and Untertürkheim design departments:

Windscreen frames and hoodlines looking a bit "kindred".

Taillights seem very straight. There is a small duck tail spoiler like on the Aston Martin DBX, they could put the star under that and then we still got space for a horizontal led line as on the Maybach Vision 6. But it’s questionable whether they would still use it since that became the signature of the EQ series and also there are quite a lot of cars on the roads which already have it

It's good to see that they finally took them out for a walk

Wow this looks great, much more emotional styling with a link to classic routes with this model. It looks like been the most compact SL since the R129
