F-Type [Renders] 2020 Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater sports cars manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque from 2013 to 2024. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the E-Type.

Not bad at all.

I am completely and entirely underwhelmed by this car. It came out in 2013 and we still have the same cramped cabin and tired interior design. You'd think Jaguar would at least throw in a new steering wheel.

No more V6 engines. Only 300HP 4 cylinder and two V8 versions. 450HP and R with 575HP. No more manual gearbox also.

The V6 is the middle rung in the North American model line-up, as per Carfection video.

I was hoping 3 things....1) they'd stick the Ingenium inline-6 in there, 2) redesign the interior so it'd appear less starker, and 3) they'd change one exterior bit, can you guys guess what is still annoying me?

Fake vents?

My problem with major facelifts is that usually a corporate face takes over and fluidity of the original design goes away.

Yes, that annoys me as all fake vents annoy me, but there's something else that absolutely drives me up the wall.

Reverse lights low on the rear bumper instead of integrated into the actual tail lights?

I have a soft spot for the F-Type, but really wish the interior got a bit more attention in this...facelift. There are some nice surprises in terms of attention to detail with the headlight and taillight micro-graphics, plus the honeycomb embossing on the seats and door panels give me hope for the new XJ. But my expectation for a largely unchanged F-Type interior would have been for a substantial upgrade in materials used for the switch gear, etc.

Hmmmm.... I thought the side vents were actually real. I guess, I wasn't paying that much attention to the Carfection vid. Yes, that annoys me as all fake vents annoy me, but there's something else that absolutely drives me up the wall.

Me, I never liked the round indentation on the rearlights. I've always thought they would look better without. And now they're rectangular.. I still think them unneccesary.
