A rhino can weigh up to 5000lbs and still run up to 34mph. The average linebacker in American football weighs 250lbs. Athleticism comes in different flavors.

I will give it the benefit of the doubt.
The disguise on the GLE reveals very clean and subtle surfaces that the chunky panels kept hidden. Coupe will probably display the same attributes.

Agreed. Regardless it's clear they've both resolved some of the styling ills of their immediate predecessors.

I was just about to say how the new X6 makes the new X4 look like a 3er GT....

Anyways, the X6 looks fantastic. This is going to be the best looking X6 yet, the proportions and profile are really something else.

This is Historical.
He did it 12 years ago when he was just a design student, I do not imagine how much passion he would have put into making his wish come true with the real deal, the X6 working now as lead design at BMW

The new X6 is set to become a new sales success. While the current F16 generation might look a bit whale-ish and unbalanced, the G06 is sure to have a streamlined and sharp appearance, more like the E71 model series than the generation it replaces.

The visual differences between the X6 and the X5 were stronger during the E70 - E71 tenure. But they were somehow present for the F15-F16 duo as well, even though the headlights were different. What made the difference was the specific bumper design for each model. And somehow the stance of the model could also be used to distinguish between the X5 and the X6. From the distance, I have never mistaken one model for the other, so it worked.

Most likely, the same recipe of specific bumper details will be applied for the G05-G06 as well. As far as it looks right now, the G06 is looking beefier than the G05, which is exactly the same as in the case of the outgoing generations, purely obtained through clever design artifices.

With those thin X4 lights, this thing is going to have a massively empty rear-end. At least they've moved the license plate area down to fill some of the space. M version looks villainous!
